The cruise rush is on...

Sales of 2010/2011 cruises go on sale this week, so it will be a busy week for many of the main cruise Operators and myself. Both Complete Cruise Solution, including P & O Cruises, Cunard, Holland America and Princess Cruise all launch programmes this week. They are joined by the Royal Caribbean Group too including Celebrity and Azamara cruises also. Sailings depart to destinations all around the world, so 2011 will be a great time to take a cruise holiday.

There are some fantastic savings on offer too for early bookers, with reductions of over 50% on selected crusies and with very generous on board credit spends too and free parking offers. There has never been a better time to book a crusie holiday than now.

Sources say that with the economic turn around now looking more positive, cruise companies generally will be looking to discount less in the coming months to re-coup some of the monies they gave away in incentives to book in 2010.  If this is true, and I have no reason to suppose otherwise, it will clearly mean higher prices for those that do not take advantage of this early booking opportunity.

My recommendation therefore is if you are planning a cruise in 2011 then book it early and you will:

1/ Save loads of money.
2/ Be able to take your pick of cabin. This is vital if you are a family planning to share a cabin. Space is always limited for 3 and 4 berth cabins on all ships - even the newer large ships. First come first served!
3/ Be rewarded for booking early with other on board incentives.
4/ Have the peace of mind you are booked and have an experience to really look forward too. Something many say is a great part of the holiday experience, the anticipation of what is a fantastic holiday.

If you are thinking of cruising in 2011 or have never cruised before, why not contact me and I will be happy to share some of my own 26 cruise experiences with you and my extensive knowledge of this niche market -my personal favourite holiday experience.
